She grew up in the Earling vicinity and was married to Anton Kenkel. She spent the remainder of her life in the Earling community where she was a member of St. Joseph church, the Altar society and the 3d Order of St. Francis.
Surviving are her husband and eight children. They are; two daughters, Mrs Mary (August) Reinig of Portsmouth and Mrs Lucy (Laurence) Rauterkus of Earling and William of Panama. Also five sisters, Mrs John Petsche of Irwin, Mrs Anna Appel of Reiding, Minn., Mrs Mary Foxhoven of Englewood, Colorado and Mrs Susan Finken of Earling also 52 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Peter and Hubert Jacoby.
Funeral services were held June 12 at St Joseph church in Earling with the Rev. Benedict Kenekl, celebrant, the Rev. Omer Foxhoven of Englewood, Colorado deacon, and the Rev. Basil Finken, OSB of Kelly, Kansas sub deacon. Buial was in St Joseph cemetery.
Pallbearers were six grandchildren, Ivo Rauterkus, Michael Kenkel, James Kenkel, Donald Kenkel, Melvin Kenkel and Alfred Rernig.
