Karen Susie Tidwell, age 65, died April 17, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born October 7, 1946 in Sikeston, MO. to the late Ralph and Mildred Greer Sturgeon. She had been employed as a nurses aid and activities director at Shuffits Nursing Home.
On July 18, 1970 she married Roy Tidwell, he survives of the home.
She is survived by on daughter, Sheila Graham of Oran, MO.; five brothers, Jerry Sturgeon of Alabama, Ronald Sturgeon of Oran, Phillip Sturgeon of Florida, Don Sturgeon of Sikeston and Ralph Sturgeon of Rhode Island; two grand children Amber Boley and Brittney Kitchen; and one great granddaughter, Autumn Boley
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother.
There will be a visitation held Thursday April 19, 2012, friends may call from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. T. Jay Haynes, pastor of Gospel Assembly Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
