Vernon Lee Roy Allen of Decatur, IL passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in St. Mary's hospital with his family by his side.
He was born March 6, 1944 in Warsaw, IN.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joanne Allen. Son, Shannon Allen (Christie), daughter, Holly Urquhart (Rob), daughter, Brook Conner (Nick). He also is survived by his six loving grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with, Hannah Urquhart, Ellie Allen, Abby Urquhart, Garhett Allen, Greg Allen, and Drake Conner.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Firestone after 37 years and Walmart after 13 years.
He was proceeded in death by his Father, Mother and two sisters.
Burial and graveside service at 1pm, Friday, July 16, 2021, at Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy, IL.
