Marlene Meays passed away Wed. July 26 in Stockton at the age of 70. A life long resident of Stockton. Devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Marlene worked in the dietary department at St. Joseph's Medical Center for 30 years. She enjoyed trips to Lake Tahoe, reading, but mostly spending time with family & friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Armon and Ola Van Sant and brothers Loren and Stanley Van Sant. She is survived by her daughters Terrie Meays and Sheryl Meays-Bird both of Stockton, grandchildren Sean (Cheryl), Kelley, Austin, Amanda, and great grandchildren Gianna Rose and Thai Phillip. She is also survived by her sister Gladys Pulliam of Idaho, and her mother-in-law LaVonne Buchanan of Stockton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Zion Lutheran Church, 808 W. Porter Ave. Stockton, CA 95207, Wed. August 2 at 12:00 p.m. Contributions in her name may be made to The American Lung Association.
