Ms. Lenora Baker Braddock Daniels, 94, passed away peacefully at home July 7, 2021.

Lenora was born September 19, 1926 in Tippah County, Mississippi; the third of four children born to John and Francis Braddock. She attended Chalybeate school for girls, and was on the basketball team. She would recall riding in the covered wagon to school. She attended Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, and had fond memories of walking the two miles to church each Sunday with her sister.

Lenora moved to Memphis, Tennessee after graduating high school. She married Calvin Coolidge Daniels of Dyersburg, Tennessee in 1952. They had two children, Carolyn and Donald Daniels. In the summers the family truck farmed between Mississippi and Tennessee. She picked cotton and tomatoes with Carolyn, while Calvin and Don ran the machinery. Lenora was a homemaker until her children were in high school. She took a job at their school, Kingsbury, in Memphis. She worked various positions at the school, however she was most proud of her job as a teacher's assistant in the special education classroom. She worked at Kingsbury for several decades, until she retired at age 83.

Lenora was a proud member of the Eastern Star. She was a talented cake decorator and won a cake decorating competition for her Bikini cake. She was always the first person called and the first to show up anytime help was needed. She was always ready to go out or hear from you on the phone. Her favorite pastimes were reading and watching her great grandchildren play.

Lenora was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a farmer, a teacher, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a friend to many. She will be remembered for her generosity, curiosity, dependability, selflessness, faithfulness, personal birthday cards, and much more. She will be greatly missed. Lenora lived a long life and was preceded in death by many; her parents, John and Francis Braddock; her siblings, Lou Ella Cross, Marion Braddock, Verna Bell Hunter, Lou Fene Sims, John Braddock, and Bobbie Spencer; her husband, Calvin Daniels; her son, Donald Daniels; and many other family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn; Her grandchildren, Keelia and Daniel; and her great grandchildren. As well as her sister in-law, Dorothy; and her dear friend, Sue; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rest in Peace Nannie, We love you always.
