"John Doran, 75, of 5428 E. 28th, died Friday at the Osteopathic Hospital. He was born in Cassidy, Mo., and had lived in this area since 1933. Mr. Doran was a millwright at the former Neevel Mfg. Co., 30 years before he retired in 1970. He was a member of the Budd Park Christian Church and was a deacon emeritus. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lora Doran of the home; a son, Charles Doran of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor McKean and Mrs. Sandra Evans, both of Independence; three brothers, Lawrence Doran of Ozark, Mo., Clarence Doran of Springfield, Mo., and Donald Doran of Ontario, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ina Bingham of Ozark; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Newcomer Brush Creek Chapel; burial in Mount Washington Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, January 20, 1980
