Canton, IL - Doris B. Johns, 85, formerly of 543 N. Sixth, died at 9:23 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Renaissance Care Center.
Born May 7, 1914, in Havana to Lucian and Ethel Parsley Blunt, she married Lawrence "Teke" Johns on Dec. 24, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He died Feb. 14, 1973.
She also was preceded in death by one grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
She owned and operated the Yellow Cab Co. in Canton.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
