Joan Drury McBryde, 81, of Albemarle went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

She was born August 3, 1939 in Macon County, Tn. a daughter of the late Freeman Franklin and Oma Dell Parrish Drury. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Mac) McBride and a daughter Kathy Bolton.

Family members left to cherish her memories include a daughter, Judy Bullard of Albemarle, two sons Guy McBryde of Albemarle and Joe (Terri) McBryde of Monroe. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She loved her family, doing crafts and sewing.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 16, 2021 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
