Mrs. Veeder, a former elementary school teacher and a retired social worker, died Thursday. She was 86.
She was born in Wallace and moved to Spokane in 1982. She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and Cheney Normal School.
Mrs. Veeder taught at Five Mile Prairie School for five years and then worked as a social worker for Spokane County for 27 years.
She was a member of the Valley Church of the Nazarene and the Business and Professional Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert W. Veeder, at the home; a daughter, Charla Bendele of the Spokane Valley; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
