Kermett Gene Autry, 91 of St. Charles, Missouri died July 8, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri. He was a Marine Corps veteran, having served in the Korean War. He retired from General Motors as a Purchasing Agent after 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars, fixing clocks and spending time with his family. He was born on July 23, 1929 in Senath, Missouri to Willie Thomas and Lera Olene (Holmes) Autry. On December 31, 1954 he was married to Javauta Jo Pitts.
He is survived by his daughter Sharon Kay Autry Arnold and son-in-law James Elton Arnold. He is survived by his beloved grandson Eric Gene Arnold, who lived with him in St. Charles; his granddaughter Sarah Arnold and grandson Pastor Jacob Arnold and his wife Megan; brother Dennis Autry of Senath and sister Myrle of Springfield; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lavonia and Danny Hawkins. He is survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jo; parents Willie and Lera and a daughter Pamela Kay.
Visitation will be at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Missouri, Friday July 16, 6:00 - 8:00PM. The funeral will be Saturday July 17 at 1:00PM and burial will be in the Senath Cemetery next to his wife. Pallbearers will be Eric Arnold, Jim Arnold, Danny Hawkins, Dana Autry, Austin Autry and Luke Becker.
