She was born on July 23, 1939 in Syracuse, NY.
Lynne was well known for her kindness and generosity. Family was very important to her. She worked as a receptionist at CIBA Corning in Norwood for ten years before retiring to the Cape in 2001.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafts and sewing. Lynne was always giving to those in need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Needy Fund, P.O. Box 36, Hyannis, MA 02601.
Lynne was the beloved wife of Hartley Johnson. Lynne and Hartley would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in April this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Downes Battelle Kinney and Kenneth C. Battelle.
Lynne is survived by two sons, Scott Johnson and Darren Johnson; her daughter, Lori Johnson-Duncan; her five grandchildren: Danielle Campot, Russell Campot, Melanie Johnson, Brett Johnson, and Ryan McDermott; her sisters, Joan Battelle-Conine of Syracuse, NY and Jane Battelle-Lyons of Cartersville, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
The memorial services will be held in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Rt. 28), Marstons Mills. The burial services will be held at the Marstons Mills Cemetery.
