Gladys was born April 17, 1924, in Oglesby to Albert and Margaret (Entwistle) Allen. She married Maclare Pryde August 14, 1943.
Gladys was a secretary at La Salle-Peru Township High School for 26 years. She was a member of the Oglesby Union Church. She hand-colored portraits at Pryde Studio. She taught Sunday school, was Missionary president, assisted with children's musicals, and sang in the church choir.
She is survived by a daughter Georgia Radtke of La Salle; two grandchildren Rachel (Alec) and Ryan (Liz); and five great-grandchildren Callan, Halden, Blake, Ellie, and Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Mark, three brothers, and two sisters.
