Mrs. Porter Goodrich, formerly Miss Myrtle Fausett, died from influenza Monday night.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fausett of Price, Utah, neither of whom could attend the funeral on account of sickness at home. Mrs. Goodrich was not considered dangerously ill, but suddenly the disease affected her heart, which caused her death. She had been sick since Friday, November 1, after having nursed to safety her four little girls who had all been down with the "Flu" before she contracted the disease herself.

The funeral services were held at the Vernal cemetery, Wednesday afternoon. Elder A. A. Hall conducted the services in the absence of Bishop A. G. Goodrich. A quartet consisting of June Bennion, Mrs. W. F. Hanson, Ashley Bartlett and James Wallis II sang, "Abide With Me," Rock of Ages," and Beautiful Home." A very comforting discourse was delivered by Elder J. N. Lybbert in which he dwelt upon the subject of the resurrection. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Elder Gardiner.

Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich have been married eight years and the mother's baby is but two years old next March. The eldest of the four little girls is seven years.
