Ada N. Gullion, 85, Battleground, Wash., died Sept. 25, 2007, at the home of her granddaughter, Cindra Gero.

Mrs. Gullion was reared and educated in Carroll County. She was worked as a cook and nursing home employee. She operated restaurants in Logansport and Whitestown and last worked at the Flora Nursing Home until she retired in 1974. She had lived in Flora, Frankfort, Lebanon, Logansport, Whitestown and the past two years in Battleground.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker and enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed helping neighbors, cooking, gardening, and entertaining.

She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Carroll County to the late John Roscoe and Estella Linton Denton. She married Kenneth Gullion in Frankfort in 1974, and he died in 1988.

Surviving are five children, Joseph (Janet) McCain of Flora; Robert (Judy) McCain of Portage, Mich.; Earl (Brenda) McCain of Key West, Fla.; Linda Fleming of Westville, Fla.; and Dorothy Keeley of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Helen (Charles) Anderson of Delphi; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Frances Hodges; and two brothers, Pete and Roscoe Denton, preceded her in death.
