Born in Victor, CO to Zelma and Henry Fightmaster, Herb lived in Victor until his sophomore year in high school when he moved to Wheat Ridge, CO, becoming the first of four generations of Wheat Ridge Farmers in his family. Herb attended CU where his James Dean good looks caught the attention of the love of his life, Glendene Miles. They were married October 10, 1949. Herb and his brother, Lynn, owned FHF Masonry Construction for many years. He was a retired Navy Seabee.
