Frank S. Browning, 88, of West Frankfort passed away on Tuesday July 6, 2021 in his residence at 9:58am. Frank was born on January 28, 1933 in West Frankfort to Harry and Annie (Lockman) Browning,Sr. He married his high school sweetheart Lucille Sileven and they have been married 70 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Frankfort. He loved his family, the city of West Frankfort, and Flag Day. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Judy Glass; son Dean Browning; 4 brothers Harry Jr., John, Virgil, and Tom; and 3 sisters Ruth Brooks, Maggie Clark, and Mary Margaret Blessin. He is survived by his wife Lucille; daughter Cindy Lawrence; daughter-in-law Cheryl Browning; 9 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00p.m. Saturday July 10, 2021 in the Union Funeral Home –West Frankfort, Illinois with Brother Lloyd Whittaker officiating. Intermment will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort.
