Patricia Anne St. Pierre passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 5th, 2021, at the age of 85, after a brief illness at MGMC in Augusta.
Pat was born on Oct 11, 1935, in Augusta, Maine. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Alonzo Parquette; and her brothers, Franklin and David Parquette.
Pat attended Augusta schools and graduated from Cony High School in 1953. Shortly after graduation, she was employed by the State of Maine in Taxation.
In the summer of 1955, on a beautiful summer day at Popham beach in Phippsburg, Patricia met the love of her life, George St. Pierre from Gramercy, Louisiana who was stationed at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. They were married on July 7, 1956. Patricia and George celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary together in heaven this year.
Being a mother was her greatest joy. Pat was the matriarch of an amazing family and, with George, raised them all with faith at the center of their lives. Together they had six children, 13 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
A lifelong devout Catholic, her devotion to God was everything. Praying the rosary and watching or attending Mass were things she did every day. She was proud to be the organizer of the Eucharistic Adorers at St. John's Parish in Brunswick and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Pat loved playing cards with her cony high school friends. She loved visiting Ocean Park in the summers with her family and taking trips to the Bangor and Oxford Casinos. She enjoyed traveling with George to visit family. But above all, watching her grandchildren participate in their activities made heart her smile.
She is survived by his daughters, Deborah Vachon and her husband Paul, Dolly Ford and her husband Gary, and Becky Lewis and her husband Steve all of Augusta; Mary Lancaster and her husband Dick of Brunswick, and her sons Mark St. Pierre and his wife Kim of Brunswick, and Scott St. Pierre and his wife Kendra of Slidell, La.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Vachon, Aaron Vachon and his wife Stacy; Adam Vachon and his wife Jamie; Corey Ford and his wife Lilianne; Brittany Sanford and her husband David; Jordan and Brett Lancaster; Mackenzie Lewis, Sydney, Aubrey and Gabrielle St. Pierre; and Alex and Joey Hyde; and her five great-grandchildren Olivia, Zoey, Emmeline, Harvey, and Owen.
She is also survived by her siblings, Bobby Parquette and his wife Terri, Mike Parquette, and Dottie Sheltra and her husband Scott. And in laws Gene and Linda St. Pierre and Leola St. Pierre.
All are welcome to attend visiting hours from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 11th , at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 12th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 41 Western Ave., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by her great nephew Father Mathew Dunn of Baton Rouge Diocese in Louisiana.
