Karl "Butch" Raymond Madere, 81, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and worked for many years as a push boat captain on the Mississippi River. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Betty Williams Madere; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jill Madere, Neal and Stacy Madere, and Ray and Sandy Madere; stepdaughters, Sherry Bennett and Tobbie Windham; step-son, Del Windham; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Audrey Madere; and brothers, Alvin and Boyce Madere. The family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
