Mrs. Annie Ruth Cornelius Roberts, age 95, of Taits Gap, passed away at home surrounded by her beloved family on July 4, 2021. She was the daughter of Joel Wilson and Nellie Brothers Cornelius and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Roberts; brothers, Lonnie, Clarence & Fred Cornelius.
She was a member of Taits Gap Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Tamie Blythe (Richard) of Madison, Alabama, and Rhonda Dillard (Wray) of Florence, Alabama; son Joel Brian Roberts (Sandy) of Gardendale, Alabama; grandchildren, Anna Dillard, Emily Dillard, Erin Blythe and Kristen Hosey; one great grandchild, Diane Renee Hosey and brother Ernest M Cornelius.
The family will receive friends at Tait's Gap Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M., with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta, AL. Pastor Neal Whited will officiate. Lemley Funeral Home is honored to serving this family.
