Kenneth Leroy Adams, 65, died peacefully at his home after a prolonged illness on Monday, November 5, 2007. He was a loving husband, devoted father and dear friend to many. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dory; son, Jon; daughter, Danielle and her husband, Michael and their four sons, James and his wife, Stefanie, Parker, Austin and Cayman. Kenneth was born in Indianapolis, IN where he graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Howard A. and Maude I. Adams. Kenneth served in the Indiana Army National Guard for eight years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 669, F. & A.M. Ken retired from AT&T in 1990 after 30 years with the company. He enjoyed anything with a powerful motor, most especially dirt bikes. Ken received several trophies and awards for his cross-country dirt bike riding. He also enjoyed snow skiing, photography, hiking and backpacking. The family would like to thank the many caretakers, nurses, and doctors who cared for Kenneth during his illness. They are appreciative of Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion in his final days. The family cannot express their gratitude enough for the support and assistance from their family and friends. The family requests donations in Kenneth's memory be made to ARCA in lieu of flowers.
