John Edward Galloway, 84, of Harrisburg, PA, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Stonebridge Health & Rehab Center in Duncannon, PA.
Mr. Galloway was a retired Fire Chief for the Pembroke Pines, Florida Fire Dept. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1001, the National Rifle Association, and was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran.
He was born in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Dr. Alfred E. and Alice Cribbs Thomas Galloway.
Surviving are his son, Michael Galloway of Florida; daughters, Debra (Galloway) Carpenter of California, and Shirley (Galloway) Wallisa of Florida; sister, Alice Jane Bucher of Millerstown, PA; grandchildren, Taylor, Ian and Kristopher; nieces, Susan Tilahun of Harrisburg, with whom he lived, Barbara Green of Harrisburg, Linda Wolfe of Auburn, Diane Mclenegan of Millerstown; and nephew, Thomas Green.
According to the wishes of Mr. Galloway, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements under the direction of Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
