He was the son of the late Vester and Myrtle Campbell Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Matthew Hodges, two brothers, Lloyd Smith and Floyd Smith; and one sister, Deloris Papantoniou. Clifford was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of thirty-one years, Dimple B. Smith of the home; one brother, Jackie Smith (Paulette) of Petersburg, MI; two sisters, Joyce Milan of Ida, MI and Geraldine Burrow of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Service to honor the life of Clifford H. Smith will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Bobby Burrow and Pastor James Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Trinity Baptist Church, 458 East Doe Avenue, Elizabethton, TN, 37643.
