Mrs. Lula Hobson Dies at Hope Home

Mrs. Lula Hobson, 86, lifelong resident of the Hope Community, died at her home last night.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Paran Church on the Watermelon Road at 3 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Lawrence Rogers officiating, assisted by Dr. Bronnie Nichols. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.

Surviving are seven sons, Newt, Andrew, Floyd, Robert, Verner, Bruce and Woodrow Hobson; and two daughters, Mrs. Susie Kemp and Mrs. Byrd Franklin, all of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Hassell of Northport; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Billy and Jimmy Hobson, Woodrow Hobson, Jr., Luther Hassell, Sam Snyder and Sam Hassell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Lawler, Bob Colburn, T.R. Terry, Julius Robertson, Powell Hassell, Lewis Lesley, Cole Lesley and Eugene Terry.
