Benjamin was the son of Isaiah Davis, mother unknown.
He married Anna Hannah Irish, 19 Feb., 1846,
and together they had 8 children;

Sarah Jane Davis Evans,
Dewey Andrew Davis,
Benjamin Franklin Davis Jr.,
Mary Ida Davis (she died at the age of 9),
Charles Leslie Davis,
Elizabeth Loisa Davis (she died at the age of 4),
Caroline Ann Davis Brown.
