She married Harold Kraning on Sept. 4, 1949 and they were married for 71 years. She was a member of Mexico Church of the Brethren where she was an organist for many years. Norma was a homemaker who enjoyed music, gardening, reading and most of all, cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Kraning, her 3 children, Christine Jones (Glen) Rochester, IN, Laraine Hudson (Tim) Danville, IN and Greg Kraning Peru, IN. She had 4 grandchildren, Michael Jones (Lacey), Michelle Adler (Jerod), Andrea Schweizer (Aaron) and Jared Hudson. She also had 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4pm – 7pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the funeral home, with Pastor Matt Myers officiating. Family and friends may call from 10am until time of service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mexico Church of the Brethren.
