Claudia Marie Blackwell-Hardy, 87, of Tarboro, NC passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 21, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held at the graveside.

Claudia was born in Edgecombe County on May 3, 1934 to the late Garland and Dora Price Pollard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lewis.

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Bridges; granddaughters, Heather Bridges, Emily McCarter and husband Joshua; great-grandson, Robert Austin McCarter; sisters, Jeanette Elks, Mary Jones and Charlotte Deans.

After graduation of high school, Claudia continued her basketball skills while in college. In later years she worked and retired from Blackwell Tire Center as Vice President. She enjoyed going to the ECU football games, traveling and playing cards with her family. She loved her family with all her heart. Claudia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
