Daughter of Thomas J. Baker and Anna Gates, wife of Charles Thomas Norcross, whom she married on January 1, 1856 in Worcester, Massachusetts, and mother of Charles E., Edward A., and Ernest Freeman Norcross. Sister of Thomas Freeman and Edward Augusta Baker.

In 1855, Ellen L. Baker, aged 18, was living in Grafton, Worcester, Massachusetts, in the home of her father, Thomas J. Baker, aged 52, an auctioneer, and stepmother, Martha F. Baker, aged 43, with siblings, Thomas F. Baker, aged 20, an auctioneer, and Edward A. Baker, aged 15, a laborer.

Death Record - Eleanor L. Norcross (nee Baker), aged 66 years, 3 months, 17 days, of 757 Washington St., born in Elmira, Maine, the daughter of Thomas J. Baker, of Gouldsboro, Maine, and Anna Gates of Worcester, Massachusetts, and wife of John Norcross, died on July 1, 1903 at 757 Washington St., of exhaustion from dementia from which she had suffered for eight years, and was buried at North Grafton.
