With heavy hearts the family of Warren Clifford "Tiny" Curleyhead, 73, passed away Friday (June 11, 2021) at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center.
Born in Hoganburg on November 15, 1947, the son of Abraham and Clara Anna (Oakes) Curleyhead. He was a graduate of Salmon River School and attended BOCES in Potsdam for body fender repair.
Warren united into marriage with Janet Benedict on September 23, 1989, she predeceased him on July 30, 2002. For many years Warren was an iron worker with the Local 440, retiring from the NYSDOT after 23 years of service working to maintain our local roads and highways.
Warren was a skilled mechanic, and took much pride fixing and tuning up tractors and cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially those grandchildren.
Treasured memories will be forever in the heart of his children Raeanne Benedict, Tyler Curleyhead, and Brett Curleyhead and daughter-in-law Leah Benedict all of Hogansburg. He will sadly be missed by his grandchildren Alexander Thompson, Tori Benedict, Blaze Benedict, Kyra Benedict Bow Benedict, Casey Benedict, Cayde Benedict, Sterling Benedict, Tylen, Tya Thompson, Trennace Benedict, Keylin Francis, Kaya Curleyhead. He is also survived by two great grandchildren Payton Benedict, and Zayden Valley.
A sibling Sally Cook of Hogansburg survives him along with many nieces nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents and his wife Janet he is predeceased by a daughter during her infancy and his two sons Warren Benedict Jr in 1978, and Troy Benedict in 2019.
