Garland Leon "Bud" Wood of Commerce, OK passed from this life Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at his home. He was 88.
Bud was born February 9, 1933 in Peoria, OK to Lawrence and Charlotte (Large) Wood. He had lived in the Ottawa County area most of his life, the last 28 years in Commerce.
Bud served in the United States Army. He was an auto mechanic and a member of Highway Tabernacle in Quapaw, OK.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rheta Wood, 1 son, Garland "Buddy" Wood, Jr., 1 daughter, Katherine Washburn, 2 brothers, Leroy Wood and Bob Wood and 2 sisters, Betty Little and Laveda Powers.
Bud is survived by 3 sons, Tom Dyson and his wife Ona of Chanute, KS, Terry Wood and his wife Lisa of North Miami, OK and Randy Wood of Commerce, OK, 1 daughter, Rebecca Tooley of Redding, CA, 1 brothers, Larry Gene Wood of Commerce, OK, 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Ottawa Indian Cemetery.
