Lowell Himes, 69, 2561 Memorial Dr., died Thursday evening at a local hospital. Mr. Himes, who was born Aug. 21, 1909 in Nappanee, Ind., resided in Green Bay for the past 40 years. He was employed as a mechanic by Bodga Motors and then by Knaus Construction Co.
His parents and one brother, LaMar Himes, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, the former Frona Grosskreutz; one step son, Robert Kofler, Green Bay; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Martha) Rosebrugh, South Bend, Ind.; Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Hoffer, Bloomington, Ind.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Schuaer and Schumacher West Side Funeral Home, 838 S. Fisk St., after 4 p.m. Saturday and then after 12 noon Sunday. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Patrick Green officiating. Burial in Fort Howard Cemetery.
