"H. Elmer Brobst, 87, died of a heart ailment Monday evening in Cafaro Memorial hospital Youngstown, following a short illness. Born in Braceville, Feb. 25, 1869, he was a son of Adam and Sarah Cline Brobst. Most of his life was spent in Canfield township, where he was engaged in farming until his retirement. He leaves his wife, the former Mary Eastman, whom he married 57 years ago; four sons, H. Luther and Sidney, both of Canfield, Edison of Woodworth, and B. W. Brobst of Youngstown; four daughters, Mrs. Crystal Smeach, Youngstown, with whom he made his home, Mrs. Maxine Morgan of Canton, Mrs. Esther Coppinger and Mrs. Vonna Hunt, both of Austintown; a sister Mrs. Ida Cramer of Niles; a brother, the Rev. Harry Brobst of Columbus, 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Lane Funeral Home in Mineral Ridge and burial made in Dean Hill cemetery on the Palmyra Road."
