Mr. Ned L. Arceneaux, 90, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Born on December 29, 1916, Mr. Arceneaux was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was a veteran of military service, having served in the United States Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1972, Mr. Arceneaux was employed with the U.S. Post Office as Postmaster. He enjoyed traveling and loved attending Army reunions. Mr. Arceneaux also enjoyed gardening, caning chairs and volunteering as a tour guide at Acadian Village.

Survivors include one daughter, Claire Miceli and her husband, Joseph; one son, John W. Arceneaux; two grandchildren, Megan Miceli and Jamie Guillory and her husband, Josh and one great grandchild, Brayden Begnaud.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Prejean Arceneaux; his parents, Penot Arceneaux and the former, Eva Guidroz; two brothers, George Arceneaux and Fred Arceneaux and one sister, Evelyn Guidry.
