Obituary for Jeneane Seruntine Burdine
Jeneane Seruntine Burdine, 90, of Orange, passed away on June 23, 2021, in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft and Rusty Dollar. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on November 12, 1930 she was the daughter of Oliver August Seruntine and Ora (Cooper) Seruntine. Jeneane was a charter member of North Orange Baptist Church where she was very involved. Jeneane was a natural born caregiver with a heart of gold and took great care of everyone around her, including her parents and aunts for many years. She worked as an administrative clerk for Baptist Hospital in Orange. She was a gentle soul with a heart of a gold and had a knack for making everyone feel special and loved and that will remain in her families hearts forever. Jeneane was the most wonderful matriarch and her family will spend the rest of their lives missing her beautiful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ora Seruntine; husband, Raymond Ray Burdine; and son, Dean Burdine.

She is survived by her children, Susan Burdine of Orange and Doug Burdine of Houston; grandchildren, David Norris and wife Sonja, John Norris, Tom Burdine and wife JoAnn, Tim Burdine and wife Jessica and Travis Burdine and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren, Carley Howell, Lewis Norris, Matthew Burdine, Nicholas Burdine, Jessie Raylyn Burdine, Taylor Burdine and Tyler Burdine; and great-great-grandchildren, Dean Norris and Charlie Mae Burdine; sister, Emily Payne of Conroe; and nieces, Teresa Shuttlesworth and Melinda Gerukos.
