Born in Monetville, she married Joseph in Gogama in 1933. Edelta was Secretary/Treasurer at the Gogama Separate School Board for 28 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of St Joseph's Church, Femmes Federation, Club 50 and an honourary member of Vie Montante.
