Born in Kinder, LA on August 29, 1922, to Dr. William Powell Buck Jr. and Lillian Alice Fatheree Buck.
Graduated from Kinder High School in 1938; received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Southwestern Louisiana Institute in 1942.
Rosalind worked at a variety of positions including one coordinating social activities for returning WWII military at Fort Belvoir, VA. She began her teaching career in Louisiana before accepting a position in a school for Standard Oil employees in Aruba, Netherland Antilles. It was in Aruba that she met her future husband Albert Francis Everman. They married on October 19, 1951.
The couple settled in New Jersey where Rosalind taught for several years. They also lived in Iran for a year where Albert was a consultant.
After the birth of their son, Rosalind focused attentively on his upbringing and supporting her husband as he moved from consultancy to a position as Chief Financial Officer for Lockwood Greene Architects and Engineers.
The family moved to Tryon in 1973 where Rosalind enjoyed golf, tennis, shopping for antiques, and studying French among other activities. She remained active through her eighties. In her last years, she maintained her keen wit and consideration for others. Rosalind and her son greatly appreciated the devotion of her caregivers.
Survived by her son, Anthony Everman (Phillip Adams); and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death also by her brothers, William Powell Buck (1920–1982), Charles Stuart Buck (1926–2016), and John Carroll "Johnny" Buck (1930–2005).
Service to honor the memory of Rosalind Everman at 9:30 am, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, with The Reverend Mollie Turner presiding.
