A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Father Daniel C. Mitzel and Father Steve Fernandes, OFM, Cap. A visitation will be from 10-11AM; Friday at the church. Burial will be held in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
Born October 23, 1950 in York, she was a daughter of the late Clayton D. and Dora R. (Wise) Mitzel.
She formerly served as the tax collector for West Manchester Township for several years. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in York, she was also a member of the Republican Club and York Catholic High School Alumni Club. She loved traveling and cruising to warmer climates with her husband, beach trips with her friends, reading, running and swimming.
Mrs. D'Ottavio is survived by two sons, Chad E. D'Ottavio of York and John A. D'Ottavio (Kriss Ann) Hellertown; one grandson, Vincent J. D'Ottavio; one brother, Fr. Daniel C. Mitzel of Gettysburg; two sisters, Jane A. Leiphart (John Mastromatto) Lancaster and Deanna J. Sweitzer (Gerald) Red Lion; three nieces, Amy, Lisa and Tori; three great nieces and six great nephews. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Larry G. Leiphart Jr.
