Sherrie passed away at her home in Stockton, Calif. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 after fifteen courageous years of battling Breast Cancer. Born to Parley LeRoy and Sarah Fern Larsen in Hailey, Idaho, the family moved to Boise, Idaho in 1946 where she spent her youth. In 1962 Sherrie and her husband, Darrel Cherry, moved to San Jose, Calif. where they raised their two daughters. She resided in Palo Alto, Calif. from 1984-98, after which she lived near family in Saipan, Cedar Crest, N.M., Boise, and the past four years in Stockton. Having worked in various industries in her adult life, Sherrie found the most joy in the areas of Human Resource and Customer Service. Among her many talents, she was an accomplished artist, painting many lovely works for her family to cherish. She is survived by her loving daughters and their families: Christina & Matt Smith, with children Taylor, Madison, Harrison, and Carter of Saipan, and Tamra & John Toale, with children Dylan, Samantha, and Emma of Stockton. She is also survived by siblings: Ted Larsen and wife Peggy of Palo Alto, Katherine "Kitty" Markley and husband Mark of San Jose, Danny Larsen of Kaysville, Utah, and Jacqueline "Jackie" Larsen of Boise, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Parley LeRoy and Sarah Fern Larsen and granddaughter Isabella Ruby Toale. A Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 800 Brookside Rd. in Stockton, with visitation taking place from 5-6:45 p.m. at the chapel prior to services. Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, 695 Arastradero Rd., Palo Alto, Calif. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Susan G.
