NORTH LAWRENCE -- Barbara Frances Kosier, 86, of North Lawrence passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born April 15, 1929, in Copley, Ohio, the daughter of Ross and Alma (Neff) Robart and married William Kosier on July 27, 1952 at the Chapel of the Cross Evangelical United Brethren Church in North Lawrence by Rev. A. C. Shonkwiler.

Barbara was a homemaker, was active in 4-H leading the Baughman Girls 4-H Club and also served as superintendent of the home economics building for the Wayne County Fair. She was a member of the Eastside Homemakers Club and served on the local election board as a precinct poll worker for 35 years.

A gifted artist, Barbara enjoyed painting and many other art forms over the years. Never far were her Cocker Spaniels that always held a special place in her heart.

Together with her late husband Bill, they spent many vacations at their beloved Pike Lake cabin in the north woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, hosting many friends and family.

Barbara was a life-long member of the Chapel of the Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and is survived by her brother Donald (Mary) Robart of Marshallville and a sister Dora (Silvano) Madrusa of Andover, Ohio. Also, surviving are nephews/nieces Thomas (Suzanne) Robart and Ronald (Gail) Robart of North Lawrence, Randall Robart of Marshallville, Amy (Derek) Hinde of Oak Harbor, Washington, Mario Madrusa of Reynoldsburg, Richard Eash of Dalton and great-nephews/niece, Ross, John, Karen, Kenneth Robart and Christopher (Kait) Kwee.

Calling hours will be Monday, Aug. 3, at the Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church, North Lawrence, from 10-11 a.m., Rev. Bob Mitchell and Rev. Ingatius David officiating. Burial will be in Newman Creek Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the church fellowship hall.

Gresser Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
