Born in Sheffield, England, she had been a resident of Meriden most of her life. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Mrs Lynes is survived by a son, Frederick O Lynes of Banning, Calif; a daughter Mrs Harold V Hyland, with whom she made her home; six grandchildren; a brother, James Phoenix, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Flatow Home, 48 Cook Ave, with the Rev Perry Miller, rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove.
