On Monday, June 17, the marriage of Thomas Birkby and Miss Ida Bosche took place at Edgemont, SD.
The bride is the charming young daughter of Fred Bosche of Merriman, who graduated from Gordon High School with the class of 1927. She attended Chadron Normal the following year, and last year finished out a year of teaching at a school north of Gordon. Since then, she has been employed at the Barclay Beauty Shop.
The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Birkby Sr., and has neem at the Birkby filling station for some time, having an interest in the business.
Their friends wish them much happiness and showed their good wished by charivaring them on Wednesday night.

Molalla -- Ida E. Birkby, 67, Molalla, a resident here since 1946, died Wednesday at her home.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas, Molalla; a son, Ben, Prineville; a brother, out of state; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 am Saturday in Molalla Chapel of Everhart & Kent. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.
