Lydia was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who looked after her family and friends closely. She was always available to baby sit for any family and enjoyed having her Grandchildren surrounding her as much as they could. Lydia was employed by IU in the custodial department and retired after serving for ten years. When not working or taking care of her family she could be found outdoors at her favorite fishing spot, practicing her archery skills or mushroom hunting.
Lydia is survived by her Son, Clyde (Mary) Flanary of Patricksburg; Daughter, Debbie (Charley) Kerr of Bloomfield; Brother, David (Jerri) Todd of Columbus; Sister, Brenda (Larry) Norman of Heltonville; Seven Grandchildren, Crystal, Amy, Charley, Joseph, Adam, Bill and David; Fourteen Great-grandchildren, Derek, Kyle, Kaitlin, Tyler, Caden, Caleb, Colton, Peyton, Caillyn, Mikayla, Rebecca, Harley, Kristy, and Abigail; Great-great-granddaughter, Blair and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Father, Grote Todd; Mother, Fern Todd; Two Husbands, Clyde Flanary, Sr. and Kenneth Hooker; Five Brothers, and Four Sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with Pastor Curtis Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be Monday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home
