Mrs. Agnes May (Place) Colgrove, 33 years old, wife of Philip George Colgrove of Brattleboro, died Friday afternoon. Mrs. Colgrove was the largest woman resident of Brattleboro and perhaps of Vermont, weighing almost 450 pounds. Mrs. CoIgrove was born in Conn., Dec. 19, 1881, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Place. On Oct. 10, 1898, she was married in Worcester, Mass., to Mr. Colgrove. They came to Brattleboro seven years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Brattleboro. She leaves, beside her husband, her father, Samuel H. Place of Phoenix, R.I.; three children, Henry Raymond, Cecile Amilda, and Joseph Paul. She leaves also one sister, Mrs. Ida Babcock of Lime, Conn., and one brother, Arthur Place. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock in the home.
