With sadness, love, and profound gratitude, the family of Eloyd William Baldwin, of Marietta, GA, announces his passing after a full and remarkable life. Eloyd passed away from natural causes on June 10, 2021, at the age of 93. Eloyd was born in New Kensington, PA on March 19, 1928.


After enlisting in the Navy in 1945, he was stationed on a naval ship in Japan during WWII. He received multiple medals and accommodations during his service. Eloyd attended Thiel College in Greenville, PA where he met his beloved wife Joanne (Joan) Baldwin, whom we lost in December of 2004. Eloyd received a degree in Economics from Thiel College, followed by a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.


Eloyd exceled in his professional career, working as a successful and dedicated accountant and auditor for General Motors and Honeywell. During his tenure, he received several business and civic awards. He spent a large portion of his career serving his country, for both the Defense Contract Audit Agency as well as the C.I.A. After retiring in 1988, Eloyd enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, visiting theme parks, Notre Dame football and watching Fox News. Truly a kid at heart; he loved Mickey Mouse, riding roller coasters, and Christmas lights. Eloyd will forever be remembered for his kind and generous heart, wonderful sense of humor, animated story-telling and infectious laugh.


Eloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan Baldwin, and their daughter Linda.


He is survived by his two sons and their families: Jeff and Cheryl Baldwin, David and Corinne Baldwin; his grandchildren: Adam Baldwin, Lindsay Baldwin (David Striplin), David Baldwin II (Sarah), Alexander Baldwin (Grace), and Ryan Baldwin; as well as his great-grandchildren: Brody, Jack, Sabrina and River.


A private family ceremony will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2021 to celebrate his admirable life.
