Aaliyah Nicole Artis, age 12, passed away on June 8, 2021. Aaliyah was born on June 5, 2009 in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Lee Artis Jr. and her great-grandmother, Sharon Hall. Aaliyah is survived by her mother, Mary Artis, her sisters; Qiana Artis and Jasmine Artis, grandmother, Lillian Wilson, aunts; Revella Adams, Yvette Britt, Rikki Jackson, Valerie Jones, Toria Wysor, Marla Charleston, and Kristi Artis, and uncles; Maurice Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Freddy Wilson, Jack Wilson, William Wilson, Jason Artis, Jeff Artis, and Paul Cooper. Aaliyah enjoyed watching cartoons, coloring, riding her bike, playing outside, and dancing with her sisters.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the New Life Christian Assembly, 436 E. Main Street, Xenia, OH. The service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Xenia.
