William Greeley Born In County 77 Years Ago; Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for William Greeley, 77, who died Sunday at his home, 259 South Moore street, will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the home and at 9 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic church, where a requiem mass will be celebrated by the Rev. R.C. Donohoe. Burial will be in the Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers will be W.L. Gilger, Mike Carr, Frank Gibbons, William Harris, Edward Harden and Martin O'Hara.

Mr. Greeley was born in Wapello county March 8, 1865, and had lived in the county all his life. Surviving are his wife, Martha; a daughter, Mrs. C.A. Murphy of Delta; a son, William of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, James Murphy of Ottumwa, Florence Scheerer of Peoria, and Charles Greeley of Ottumwa, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

The body will be taken to the home from the Vaughan funeral chapel at 2 p.m. today.

Members of St. Patrick's parish will meet at the home at 8 p.m. today to recite the rosary.
