Monday, 29 June 1959

WOOD RIVER - Theo H. Ewing, 68, a native of the Wood River vicinity, died this morning in a Grand Island hospital. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The Apfel Funeral Home at Wood River will be in charge.

Mr. Ewing was born Feb. 6, 1891, on a farm north of Wood River to John A. and Laura B. Ewing. He received his education in that vicinity and served in the United States Navy during World War I. He and Imogene Blevins were married at Independence, Mo. Mr. Ewing was a member of the Conner Benson American Legion Post 314 at Wood River and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 604, at Grand Island.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. John Brennan, and two brothers, William and Archie Ewing, all of Wood River. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
