Obituary for Billy Joe Carruth
Billy Joe Carruth, 88, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020. Billy was born August 22,1931 to Charlie and Dora (Fogle) Carruth in Denison, Texas. He was one of six children.

At the age of 17 he began survey work which would lead to a lifetime career as a civil engineer, working on dams, railroads, airports, and bridges. He was a self-taught handyman and could fix almost anything. Billy was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.

In May 16, 1958, Billy married Jane Louise (Henry), which he said gave him much joy and pride for the rest of his life.

Billy is survived by brothers Gene Carruth and Richard Carruth, step-daughter Suzie Smart, daughters Lisa Jones and Sheryl Donihoo, grandchildren Amy Neville & husband Kris, Jessica Fuller & husband Kenneth and Miles Donihoo, great grandchildren Gemma Katherine Neville, Grady Wayne Fuller and Kristopher Gage Neville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dora, wife Jane Louise, sisters Nadine Hodges, Pauline Gabbert, brother Charles Carruth and sons-in-law Dennis Jones and Chad Donihoo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel at 10:00 am with Reverend Denise Foxx of Concord Church of Dallas officiating. Graveside service will follow.
