"Mrs. Cornelia Barber Mosman, 80, Bellerive hotel, 214 East Armour boulevard, was found dead yesterday in her room. Her husband, Oliver C. Mosman, a lawyer who died in 1950, was a member of the firm of Mosman, Rogers, Field & Gentry, now Rogers, Field & Gentry.
Mrs. Mosman was born at Bloomington, Ill., and moved to Kansas City after her marriage in 1898. She was an early member of the Woman's City club and took an active part in women's suffrage work. In the 1920s, Mr. and Mrs. Mosman traveled extensively through Europe. While on one of these trips, Mrs. Mosman studied three years at the University of Paris.
Surviving are a son, Oliver C. Mosman, Jr., of 433 West 61st street; a daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Harrington of Mission Hills; a sister, Mrs. Alexander Boyd of Estes Park, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas Barr of Arlington, Va., John Lyle Harrington of Culver, Ind., and Sue Mosman and Carol Mosmon, both of 433 West 61st.
Services will be held in the Stine & McClure chapel, 3235 Gillham plaza, Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Burial will be Forest Hill cemetery." The Kansas City Times, December 7, 1953
