A Fresno man has died from injuries he suffered in motorcycle crash last week near Twin Bridges, just south of Lake Tahoe.
Killed was Christopher Deboer, 70. His wife, Susan Deboer, 52, sustained multiple lacerations and fractures, according to the Lake Tahoe News.
The accident happened on Sept. 29 about 2:15 p.m. when their motorcycle, a 1986 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide, went off the road for some unknown reason. The California Highway Patrol said Deboer allowed his motorcycle to "drift from the center of the eastbound lane to the right, leaving the roadway. His motorcycle continued off the shoulder, striking the guardrail along the south edge of the road."
The article says the Fresno couple was"thrown over the embankment and down the hillside." They were airlifted to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The accident is still under investigation.
