Freda May Kinney, 96, Topeka KS, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021.

Freda was born October 13, 1924, on the family farm in Bern KS. She grew up in the Bern-Oneida area, graduating from Oneida High School. She attended Clark's School of Business in Topeka and earned employment with Santa Fe Railroad. Freda started as a stenographer and time clerk and retired after 44 years of service as Vice-President of Information Systems.

Freda and Jack Kinney were united in marriage November 15, 1947, enjoying more than 50 years together before his death March 9, 1998. She was a member of West Side Christian Church.

Survivors include Freda's son, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and her sister. Freda was also preceded in death by three siblings.

Freda's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Mount Hope Cemetery.
